Danielle Reed and Kelsey McQueen

Our Story

In 2011, Kelsey and Danielle were sitting on the deck on a hot summer day. They had just finished a workout together when they began talking about the challenges that young girls face today. They also recognized that there were a lack of support programs out there to address these growing needs. It was in that moment, that Fit+Fierce® was born. Kelsey and Danielle decided to combine their skills to create a program for girls focused on mind wellness, fitness and nutrition. Kelsey’s fitness experience, trainer certification and nutrition knowledge combined with Danielle’s education background and life coaching certification were just the right combination of skills to develop a curriculum and program focused on helping girls to become strong in mind and body.

Testimonials

"I LOVE Fit & Fierce! I've had 2 daughters go through the program and each achieved different outcomes as though Danielle and Kelsey knew specifically what each of them needed - my oldest became athletically engaged and developed an keen interest in healthy foods and trying new foods; my youngest gained confidence with who she is, came out of her shell, and finished (thanks to Kelsey!) the Youth Spartan Race!! Thank you Kelsey & Danielle!!"

"The best part of Fit n Fierce was learning new things and making new friends' Fit and fierce is a fantastic program for girls that promotes their physical and mental well being in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. The coaches were encouraging and enthusiastic. I really liked how they helped the girls focus on their inner values and strengths. My daughter loved it and can't wait to participate next year!"

"My daughter got so much out of this program! She loved fit and fierce and I wish I had put her in this program earlier. One year was still wonderful for her. She says she misses it already."

"Thank you Danielle and Kelsey for another amazing year. My girls have learned some incredible life skills that I wish I had myself growing up. You have helped them become strong, empowered young women, taught them how to respect themselves and others, about honouring their values and respecting and nurturing their bodies. I am so grateful to you. AN AMAZING PROGRAM FOR GIRLS!!"

Sharon

"Thank you so much for such a meaningful and great program! My daughter has loved Fit and Fierce for the past 3 years. The program is outstanding especially for girls at this age. Talking about what is important in life, family, values, healthy eating, importance of physical activity etc has made a huge impact in the lives of many of these girls. THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT SESSION!!"

Kerri-Lynne

"My daughter had a wonderful first year at fit and fierce. She met some new friends, tried new foods and she ended up loving them. She always looked forward to the next session and wished that it was more often. This is a wonderful positive program to empower our girls. The first time she went to a session after she said "I'm so happy I just want to hug everyone".

Jill Williams

"I can't thank you enough for all that my daughter learned over the last two years with Fit + Fierce. I believe that you made the junior high years less scary for her. You taught her to believe in herself, not conform to anybody else's wishes and be a true person. I have seen such growth in her and I feel that grade nine will be a great year. Thank-you!"
